The pendulum test The pendulum test measures the risk of slipping when a heel comes into contact with a wet floor. This is simulated by a pendulum that slides across a securely laid area of the flooring. The pendulum test determines how high the risk of slipping actually is. The lower the risk, the higher the value. The POLY- SAFE collections start at ≥ 36. This level is classified as low slipping potential.

It’ s simple to set up: The oil-covered flooring is laid on a ramp whose angle of inclination is continually increased. The angle at which the test person slips defines the R value. This test determines the quality class, ranging from R9 to R13. The higher the value, the better the slip-resistance properties.

Ultieme test op het schuine vlak Een traditioneel en nog steeds actueel testprocedé, is het schuine vlak met motorolie.
